20 Affirmations To Say To Yourself Daily

I’ve always known about affirmations but it never really occurred to me that its something I should be doing and something that can really impact your mental health and how you view yourself. Affirmations can be about anything, but here I’ve compiled a list of 20 general affirmations that anyone (and everyone) can say to themselves daily.

I think the first time I said any affirmations out loud was at the start of lockdown when I did some morning meditation sessions on Heels and Feels Instagram page with Sasha. [Fun story that just happened!!! Like as I’m writing this!! I went on Instagram to see if Sasha was still doing her daily meditation, and it turns out Heels and Feels have launched a whole new page Heals and Feels and now have a whole separate wellness timetable – how incredible! I’ve done all of the meditations so far this week and although it hurt me a little bit to set my alarm before 8am (it’s been a while since I’ve seen that time of day) it has felt SO good to get back into. Just making that commitment to yourself and to your well-being, taking 30 minutes out of your day to take care of YOU, can make all the difference to your day.

Sasha is also hosting a special New Moon Meditation TONIGHT (21st June) at 9pm BST on a private zoom call, which I think is going to be really special. I’ve just bought my ticket! Repeat these affirmations to yourself as often as you can, daily if possible, maybe even twice daily. You can say them out loud, say them in front of a mirror, or just write them down, whichever works for you. They are in no particular order here so feel free to jumble them around.

  4. Oh my gosh YESSSSS! I absolutely love daily affirmations! I’ve been really slacking with my affirmations and it really has an affect on my mental health. I love the ones you’ve shared, especially “I am proud of how far I’ve come”. We are often too focussed on what’s ahead to appreciate what we have already achieved.

  10. Fab list. I say affirmations daily and have been for like, 4 years? They can totally change your life! So many times I’ve said my money affirmations and then checked my emails to have received something money related!

  11. These are great! I really wish that more people would recognize the incredible power of positive affirmations. Too often they are written off as ‘silly’ but they really can have a HUGE impact on our lives if we commit to them! There are a couple here that aren’t on my current list, so I’m going to have to add them moving forward. Thank you for sharing.

  13. I’ve started saying affirmations more recently to remind myself of the positive instead of focussing on the negative things about myself. I’m quite self conscious but saying things like these each day, I’m slowly starting to believe them and feel a change in my confidence. Wonderful list!
