I’ve officially finished uni, 6 years of training and it’s not been a linear pathway or an easy ride by any means, but I made it ✨

Also taught my last classes in Leicester, finished work and starting to pack up to leave this flat (hallelujah 🙌🏻) 

I’m so overwhelmed I can’t even put into words but I’ll remember this week forever 🥰
  • This week has gone so fast! Tech rehearsals, teaching some of my last classes (just tomorrow eve to go!), a new gym phase and a weekend at home for my besties “sten” do and a trip to ikea… we did it all this week

Absolutely exhausted and we’re back to Leicester first thing tomorrow morning for SHOW WEEK 💃🏼

Very excited but also bittersweet that uni is fully coming to an end, this time next week it’ll all be over 🤯

Hope you’ve all had a good week too 🥰

  • Did not wanna do todays session this evening but after a quick 30 min lie down and scroll sesh we went and got it done anyway 💪🏻

Honestly I needed that session today! It gave me chance to clear my head and focus for an hour, especially with it being my first time doing this workout in my new phase and I didn’t know what was coming next, having to focus on different exercises I haven’t done in a while did wonders for my brain today 💪🏻

I think I’m finally starting to hack the whole discipline thing, it’s been a long time coming 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh and RIP my arms tomorrow

Absolutely love the feeling of starting a new phase and feeling motivated all over again ✨ I feel like towards the end of each phase I get a bit complacent and just end up going through the motions but give me a couple of different exercises and I’m away 😅

  • Thought it was time to share some more portfolio snaps on here… I literally look at these photos and can’t believe that’s actually me and I actually had the confidence to do that?

If you’d shown these shots to 18/19/20 year old Lauren she’d be pretty shocked too!

As much as this account started as a fitness account to track my physical progress, there’s been a huge mental journey too and we’re not at the final destination yet, but I’m definitely proud of how far we’ve come so far ✨ 

For me, the more I commit to my gym/fitness journey, looking after my body and my mind and inspiring others to do the same (whether that’s in a class or from a YouTube video), my confidence grows a little bit each day and I hope to continue sharing that with you lot 🙏🏼

  • Getting into practising yoga more regularly has been a big thing for me over the last year or so, and I’d love to be able to teach it properly one day 🧘🏼‍♀️

I love when I make time to fit in a yoga class, whether it’s 10 minutes of an hour, in person or following a YouTube video, it means a lot to me that I’ve managed to carve out that time just for me, to look after my body ✨

I put my body under a lot of physical strain on the daily, whether that’s dancing, training in the gym or teaching classes, there’s always something! So again making that time to slow down and focus on breath and notice what my body is feeling and what it needs, is really important 🙏🏼

  • Another week done and dusted 👏🏼

Got all my gym sessions in this week and managed two full rest days, unheard of 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have 2 weeks of my degree left!! And I move out of this flat in 2 weeks and 2 days, not that anyone is counting!!

Also starting a new training phase next week and I’m excited for it, up to 4 sessions a week 💪🏻
  • Another 12 weeks working 1:1 with @fitandplantpowered ✅

It’s not been easy or straightforward by any means but I think I’ve actually nailed the discipline and motivation of just getting shit done, recognising that not every session is going to be a 10/10 and that you can still make good progress while not being super strict or restrictive in your diet 🥂

Here’s to the next phase 💪🏻

  • I put my Fitbit back on yesterday after not wearing it for 2-3 weeks and it was honestly so refreshing 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s so easy to get wrapped up in all the stats that can quickly become obsessive, so if you wear a smartwatch daily I recommend taking a break every so often!

Your progress does still count even when it’s not tracked, and you’re probably not going to suddenly start only doing 2,000 steps a day instead of your usual 8,000 either! 

Give it a go 👊🏼 Watches can be a great tool to help you on your fitness journey when used properly and not obsessively 💪🏻
